AC Milan are still looking for Chelsea and Morocco midfielder Hakim Ziyech and will, according to reports in Italy, “investigate” in the final days of the transfer window.
The 27-year-old was in impressive form preparing for the Blues and is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport over Semper Milan‘Ziyech is still at the top of Milan’s list and the Italians will try later towards the bottom of the window.
The report goes on to say that the Milan club believe Chelsea will be more willing to let Ziyech go in the last few days of the window.
One deal remains “very complicated”, however, as AC Milan wants the Moroccan to be loaned with an option to buy. Chelsea would be reluctant to accept this type of deal.
It looks like Ziyech will stay at Chelsea this summer after an impressive pre-season run under Thomas Tuchel. The coach praised the Moroccan and predicted an “important season” for the midfielder.
What did Tuchel say about Ziyech?
“Any partnership can be very promising when Hakim is playing at a high level, his high level.
“I think he was very promising last season.” he said. “He had some very good games last season, including some difficulties and tough decisions for me. His preseason was promising and quite impressive of him. The attitude that brought him here was absolutely the right attitude to grow and show personality, that’s what he did. It was fantastic from day one. He’s been crucial in every single friendly game we’ve played. He was decisive in the first competitive game against Villarreal. Unfortunately he was injured, we have to take care of it. “
