Best cheap summer vacation in Europe from Prague to Rome by Discover Cars

Explore 11 European top cities and summer tourist hotspots, cracked the numbers on a trip to the top destinations in the same week of August.

Whether you are looking see Europe on a budget or you just can’t wait for the schools to close, we’ve got your back.

When comparing dates for a bargain between August 15 and 22, 2022, her team looked at a variety of factors.

What happens if you miss your flight due to airport delays?

They looked at the average cost of airfare from London Heathrow, the average cost of renting a car for a week, and the average cost from the top 15 hotels Expedia.

What would a holiday be without ticking off the sights? So Discover Cars also uncovered the cost of the most popular attraction the location offers from Tripadvisor.

They did this by recording the price of an adult or standard ticket.

Eating out is also a popular holiday pastime, but it shouldn’t break the bank.

To help you Discover cars calculated the number of affordable restaurants using the “Eat cheap” filter option on Tripadvisor.

“Not only did we want to show you some exciting places to visit for your next summer vacation, but we also wanted to show you that traveling doesn’t have to cost a small fortune and can be done on any budget!”

The best budget-friendly European destinations for summer 2022

1. Prague, Czech Republic

Praguethe capital of the Czech Republic, tops the list Budget-friendly summer destinations.

It took first place with an impressive 53 out of 70 points.

The Czech town is full of sights such as the Charles Bridge, Letná Park and the Rudolfinum Gallery.

Corresponding Discover carsthe average cost of a flight from Heathrow is £153.

Meanwhile the cost of accommodation for a week costs £1,173 and there are 1,201 affordable places to eat and 442 budget hotels to choose from.

2. Rome, Italy

With an unbelievable 50 out of 70 points, Italy’s capital comes in second place.

Rome, located in the Lazio region, is described by Discover cars as “an infinite array of archaeological treasures”.

Admire breathtaking sights like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colosseum with new wonders around every corner.

The city The most popular attraction is the Pantheon and the nearest airport is Rome Ciampino (CIA).

It also has 2,951 affordable restaurants, 797 budget hotels, and 5,920 attractions.

3. Istanbul, Turkey

Closely behind in third place is the Turkish city of Istanbul.

It is on the Bosphorus Strait Scored 46 out of 70 points and it’s not hard to see why.

Istanbul boasts one thing average accommodation costs from £1,363 and the average cost of renting a car is £219.

The city’s most popular attraction is Dolmabahce Palace and the average cost to visit is £6.43.

4. Ljubljana, Slovenia

In case you’ve never been there Ljubljanahere’s your sign to add to your to-do list.

The largest and largest city in Slovenia scored a very respectable 38 out of 70 points.

You won’t be short of activities, start with a visit popular attractions such as Prešeren Square and the Slovenian National Museum.

That The nearest airport to the city is Ljubljana Airport (LJU) and its most popular attraction is the Old town of Ljubljana.

According to Ljubljana, there are also 147 affordable restaurants, 31 budget hotels and 679 attractions Discover cars.

5. Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Rounding out the list in fifth place is stunning City of Plovdiv in Bulgaria.

The second largest city in the country, which is located in the south and Scored 37 out of 70 points.

Top things to do here include visiting the Plovdiv Roman Stadium and the Regional Ethnographic Museum.

The most popular attraction in this city is the Old Town of Plovdiv, which is free to visit.

Discover cars says that the average airfare is 188 pounds and the average accommodation costs for a week is £364.
