The Amelia Island Ritz-Carlton Tree Lighting – November 23, 2022 at 5:30 p.m

The evening tree lighting celebration on November 23rd is a wonderful holiday event featuring a 40 foot tall Christmas tree in a beautiful seaside setting, performances on an outdoor stage, the arrival of Santa Claus on a train and the grand FIREWORKS finale. While the celebration begins at 5:30 p.m., please allow additional time for vehicle parking Peters Point beach car park, then take the free shuttle service to the Ritz-Carlton. Enjoy cookies and cider during the festive evening, a fundraiser for various local charities. Tickets are $15 per person (from 10 years) and can be purchased online at Eventbrite Website).

Fernandina Black Friday Pajama Party – November 25, 2022

Wear your festive pajamas and have fun shopping at the vendors in downtown Fernandina. Also the 2nd Street Block Party offers live music. The Black Friday event runs from 8am to 4pm with a pajama contest at 11am

Fernandina Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony, November 26, 2022

The city’s annual Christmas event, which takes place in downtown Fernandina near the riverfront, will take place this year on Saturday, November 26, 2022 (Marina Parking A, from noon to 6 p.m).

Fernandina’s Christmas tree lighting celebration features food vendors, merchandise for sale, bouncy castles for the kids, a DJ and live entertainment including the Royal Amelia Dance Academy and the Nassau Community Band, along with the evening lighting of the town’s Christmas tree at the foot of Midway.

Illuminated Christmas Parade – December 3, 2022 at 6pm

This annual Christmas parade is one of the best of the year, very festive and crowded, taking place in downtown Fernandina Beach with lighted floats and more. (Want to join the parade? Cottage Tour – December 2-3, 2022

At this two-day event, private homes are professionally decorated for the holiday season. Home Tour attendees hear the history and architectural features of each home. The special tour will be presented by the Amelia Island Museum of History, an annual fundraising event. Nassau County Tree Lighting Celebration – December 3, 2022

NEW THIS YEAR! Nassau County’s first Christmas tree lighting event will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Robert M. Foster Justice Center, 76347 Veterans Way, in Yulee. Enjoy Christmas music by the Nassau Community Band, Santa Claus pictures and a giant cinema screen showing the famous Christmas film Elf. This is a FREE entry event. Food trucks and gift vendors will also be in attendance (food, drinks and merchandise available for purchase).

“Polar Bear” Coca-Cola puppy, parade of paws

On Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 11:00am to 11:30am in downtown Fernandina, watch this cute parade featuring countless adorable pooches and their spirited owners dressed up for the holidays. Parade participants can register at the Old Train Depot/Welcome Center at 10am on the day of the event. A fundraiser for the Nassau Humane Society, pet entries are $20. The parade route is on the sidewalk along Center Street, starting at the Old Train Depot, to 4th Street, then crossing the center and returning to the depot. The awards for parade participants in 2022 will be given in the following categories: “Best Victorian, most original and looks most like the owner,‘ and the top 3 overall. Questions? Dickens On Centre, Victorian style Christmas festival

This Victorian-themed Christmas celebration has become a popular annual event in downtown Fernandina Beach, with loads of entertainment and activities beginning with the Dickens Illuminated Procession on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. At 17:00 the event begins with music and food trucks. Watch or participate in the lantern parade, and the evening ends with a riverside “light show” in downtown Fernandina.

The next day, Dickens in the middle opens Friday evening at 5 p.m on December 9, 2022 and lasts until Sunday, December 11, 2022 (end 7 p.m.) Dickens in the middle offers stage performances near Fernandina’s Old Train Depot at the foot of Center Street, the Tiny Tim’s Kid Zone and gift shopping at kiosks, food and beverages. New Years Eve Shrimp Drop & Fireworks – December 31, 2022

Presented by “Lighting Up Amelia”, and the City of Fernandina Beach, this annual downtown riverfront celebration begins at 5:00 p.m New Year’s Eve 2022. The celebrations include a countdown to ring in the New Year when the symbolic lighted shrimp is dropped. The conclusion of this early evening holiday event is the grand finale FIREWORKS at 7 p.m.. You don’t have to stay up until midnight to enjoy this fun, family-oriented New Year’s Eve celebration from Fernandina.
