ISLAND DUO WET LEG UNLEASH SECOND SINGLE ‘WET DREAM’ – Island Echo

The Isle of Wight duo Wet Leg are ready to release their next single, Wet Dream, following the success of their debut single “Chaise Longue”.

As of June, the debut song has garnered over 3 million streams, nearly 1 million video views, and fans including Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Iggy Pop, Florence Welch, and film critic Mark Kermode.

Wet Leg’s Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers are ready to release ‘Wet Dream’ which has been described as a two and a half minute piece of exuberance that is as memorable and exhilarating as ‘Chaise Longue’ and they consider one of the most exciting bands to appear in this one Year.

Teasdale explains its origins:

“Wet Dream is a breakup song; it came about when one of my exes texted me after we broke up and told me he ‘had a dream about me’.

The video – staged by Rhian himself – is like something out of the wildest dreams of Věra Chytilová and Salvador Dali.

After Wet Leg had already become one of the most talked about bands at the Latitude, Green Man and Isle Of Wight festivals this summer and also supported Jungle and Declan McKenna on tour, their own upcoming headline shows in London quickly sold out. Glasgow and Manchester.

You are now confirmed to play at Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris and London Calling in Amsterdam, as well as support slots this fall with Shame, Inhaler and Willie J Healey. A full UK tour for 2022 is slated to be announced shortly.
