Morgan Wallen plans massive The Dangerous Tour in 2022

Morgan Wallen is back, and in a big way. The country singer announced a major US tour for 2022, slated to begin in February and roll across the US for eight months before ending in mid-September. The Dangerous Tour currently shows 50 dates planned for 2022, further stations for the singer at various festivals have already been announced.

“Here we come,” says the singer’s post, in which the dates are announced on social media. The announcement on Instagram already has more than 600,000 likes, while the post on Twitter on Tuesday morning has almost 20,000.

Morgan Wallen’s The Dangerous Tour is offering tickets for the first half of the dates (February to mid-May) on November 19, with advance booking starting Tuesday (his social media posts indicate that you can request the code yourself via text message ). The back half will go on sale on December 3rd, presumably with a similar pre-sale option.

The run begins February 3 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, and stops at Madison Square Garden in New York, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia, Walmart AMP in Arkansas, Shoreline Amphitheater in Northern California, and ends at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He is accompanied on the tour by label colleagues Hardy and Larry Fleet.

Wallen’s tour will be the first he has headlined since the pandemic and a controversial patch after being taped outside his home with a racial slur that prompted him to drop off his record label and pull out all upcoming appearances . Following that incident, he wrote a long apology letter to his fans, and it seems like the majority decided to give the singer one more chance – his initial return to the stage was this fall with several quick sell-outs for one-off shows tied together .

While some fans have indicated that he survived an attempt to be “canceled” on social media after the tour announcement, the singer seems to welcome anyone who continues to support him rather than lean into the cultural divide which seems to be predominant.
