A recent press release on the upcoming Guy: Hawaiian Style series reveals that Guy Fieri will be traveling the Hawaiian Islands with his family to learn more about Hawaiian culture, tradition and of course the best about Hawaiian food. Unlike his earlier and mostly food-focused adventures like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Fieri and his family will explore the four main islands in ways other than just tasting the local dishes; Traditional Hawaiian activities such as volcano clay shooting, spear fishing, and salt mining will keep the Fieris busy and keep the crowd entertained.
For the four-part series, viewers can get in the mood for the start of the Fieri family outing and discover the traditions of the island of Maui. Adventures on Maui include Fieri’s wife Lori and son Ryder receiving their SCUBA certifications, resulting in an underwater excursion with sea turtles, reef sharks, and more. The family continues to travel to Oahu and the Big Island, each with new and exciting adventures. And of course, a Guy Fieri trip to Hawaii wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the pineapple farm, poke-and-shave ice cream tasting, and an authentic luau of roast pork, lei-making, and fun for everyone. “If Hawaii offers it, we’ll try,” said Fieri. “We do everything from land to sea, and the best part is that viewers can and can experience this incredible adventure.”
